The young hero took one careful step, then another, sandals whispering against stone. On a low altar, a single scroll waited, bound with a thread of gold. The child reached for it, and a soft voice, calm as deep water, spoke from the shadows. "You are early," said Athena, stepping out between two columns, her owl blinking on her shoulder. "That is good. The labyrinth does not wait for the brave, it opens for them."
